Make submissions - Formal Consultation on Draft National Action Plan

The Attorney-General’s Department has concluded its consultation on a draft Baseline Study and is preparing a final Baseline Study and draft National Human Rights Action Plan for intended release in December 2011.  There will be a further consultation period on the draft National Action Plan. For more information visit the Attorney-General's Department website.

Workshops to promote NGO engagement with Government's consultation process

To prepare NGOs for the Attorney-General's Department's consultation process, the Human Rights Law Centre, in partnership with other NGO's, conducted a series of workshops in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin and Perth from June to September 2011. The workshops considered the draft Baseline Study and developed ideas for actions to be included in the National Action Plan. The workshops aimed to provide NGOs with information about the National Action Plan process and generate ideas for submissions to the Government. However, they did not form part of the formal National Action Plan consultation process which is being conducted by the Attorney-General's Department. For copies of the materials and reports from these workshops please visit our workshops page.
