Workshops

To prepare NGOs for the Attorney-General's Department's consultation process, the Human Rights Law Centre, in partnership with other NGOs, conducted a series of workshops in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin and Perth from June to September 2011.

The workshops considered the draft Baseline Study and developed ideas for actions to be included in the National Action Plan. The workshops aimed to provide NGO's with information about the National Action Plan process and generate ideas for submissions to Government. However, the workshops were not part of the formal National Action Plan consultation process which is being conducted by the Attorney-General's Department.

The HRLC would like to thank its local partners and hosts in each location for their assistance and support in delivering the workshops.
